The new Washington Post poll of the Virginia Senate race shows a tied race, with Democratic former Gov. Tim Kaine and Republican former Sen. George Allen tied at 46 percent each, in the race to succeed retiring Democratic Sen. Jim Webb.
The survey of registered voters was conducted from April 28 to May 2, and has a 3.5 percent margin of error.
The TPM Poll Average has Kaine narrowly ahead with 46.9 percent support, and Allen at 45.4 percent.
