Democratic Rep. Martin Heinrich leads former Republican Rep. Heather Wilson in the New Mexico Senate race by 5 points, according to a new poll from Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling.
Heinrich leads Wilson 48 percent to 43 percent. The survey of 725 registered voters was conducted from July 13-16, and has a 3.6 percent margin of error. Heinrich’s lead is unchanged from an April PPP survey, taken before the party primaries.
The PollTracker Average currently shows Heinrich leading 49 percent to 42.7 percent.
