New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) leads former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (D) 45 percent to 40 percent, according to a new Quinnipiac Poll of Iowa voters released on Tuesday.

The Quinnipiac poll also found that Clinton leads Christie among women 49 percent to 39 percent. Meanwhile, Christie leads Clinton among men, 51 percent to 30 percent.

The poll also surveyed head-to-head matchups with three other Republicans who have also strongly hinted at a presidential run: Sen. Rand Paul (KY), former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Sen. Ted Cruz (TX). The poll found that Clinton leads Paul, 45 percent to 44 percent. Clinton also leads Cruz in a head to head matchup, 48 percent to 41 percent. Against Bush, Clinton leads 47 percent to 40 percent.

Quinnipiac surveyed 1,617 registered Iowa voters from Dec. 10 to 15. The poll had a margin of error of plus or minus 2.4 percentage points.
