Poll: Ballot Initiatives Legalizing Gay Marriage, Marijuana Supported In Washington State

Washington state voters continue to show strong support for legalizing both gay marriage and marijuana, according to a poll released Monday from in-state firm Strategies 360. Legalizing gay marriage sees support from 55 percent of those surveyed, with only 38 percent opposing. The numbers for marijuana legalization are nearly identical, with 54 percent supporting and 38 percent opposing.

The numbers are largely in line with the PollTracker averages, which shows support for the marijuana ballot question split 51.7 percent in support and 38.7 percent in opposition and legalizing same-sex marriage polling at 54.7 percent support and 38.1 percent opposed.
