The latest round of the Piers Morgan-Larry King feud is a nearly scene-for-scene re-enactment of the last one.
It started with King once again questioning CNN’s decision to replace his long-running Q&A show with “Piers Morgan Live” in 2010.
King told a Buffalo, N.Y. radio program last week that it was a mistake for the network to hire “a Britisher” and said that Morgan’s show was “all about him.” King also said Morgan was “a bit pompous,” singling out the host’s passionate commentaries on gun control.
“So, I had trouble watching Piers Morgan’s show and I guess a lot of other people did too,” King said of the program that CNN canceled earlier this year.
Morgan responded angrily via Twitter on Friday. Several tweets later, Morgan said he was ready to “move on.”
Memo to @kingsthings – get over it you daft old goat, you wrecked CNN’s 9pm ratings, not me > http://t.co/GXqHnu4nAR

Seriously, @kingsthings mocking me for poor ratings when he cratered the damn things at 9pm before I even got there is absurd! #CNN

I kept 9pm ratings at CNN where @kingsthings left them. Which given the way HIS ratings had collapsed in his last few years was a miracle.

As for @kingsthings ‘ mockery of my interview style, at least I know which members of the Beatles are alive or dead > http://t.co/f1BpiUBgZO

I always showed @kingsthings the utmost respect but he responded by incessantly bitching about me. Graceless, petty little man. #CNN

Anyway, I suspect only me and Larry King give a monkey’s cuss which we think of each other – so now that’s off my chest, I’ll move on.
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 1, 2014
But he did not move on. Prompted by Mediaite’s write-up of King’s remarks, Morgan called King a “dick” in a tweet on Monday and mocked the former CNN host’s use of the word “Britisher.”
‘Britisher’ – what a dick. > RT @Mediaite: Larry King ‘Had Trouble Watching’ Piers Morgan: ‘Britisher,’ ‘Pompous’ http://t.co/29bHo0Tmui

It all unfolded nearly the same as it did in May, when King wondered why CNN hired a “Britisher” and Morgan promptly lashed out on Twitter.
And the winner is -
Jeremy Clarkson.
"Piers Morgan On Larry King: ‘What A Dick’ "
Didn’t know Piers swung that way.
Sorry, But I’m with Morgan on this one (Not that I like him that much) but I just have never been able to stomach Larry King. I think King should just retire on what must surely be a pile of money he’s made over the years. As for Morgan, normally, I don’t think being British has much to do with anything. But given the choice between Morgan and King, I’ll take Morgan, even tho I would turn both of them off if someone handed me a good book.
Larry’s comments about Pier’s show came off as crass, unprofessional and yes - dickish.
Piers should have left it at that because it spoke volumes about Larry’s lack of class towards someone in the same field as him. And the “Britisher” comment was over the top. Instead, Piers goes into a childish rant (on Twitter, no less) and comes off like someone with thin skin chewing sour grapes. I think it was an incredibly bad move and made him look way worse than King.
fortunately I don’t care about either of them!
