Newt Gingrich, at a campaign event on Wednesday, walked out on stage with an Etch-A-Sketch in hand.

“Have you seen this?” he said, holding up the children’s toy.

“Their pictures aren’t permanent, there’s nothing locked down, you can re-do it any time you want,” Newt said, comparing the toy to Mitt Romney’s vision for the country.

Romney spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom earlier today said his candidate plans to start fresh come the general election, like an “Etch-a-Sketch.”

“This is a spare Etch-a-Sketch so I’m going to give it to you guys to play with,” he told a supporter in front row.

“She could now be a presidential candidate, she has her own Etch-a-Sketch,” Newt added.
