The Department of Defense announced Monday that it will release two Guantanamo Bay detainees to Saudi Arabia.

The U.S. worked with Saudi Arabia to securely transfer Saad Muhammad Husayn Qahtani and Hamood Abdulla Hamood after the Guantanamo Review Task Force reviewed both cases and determined they could be released.

The Pentagon announced earlier in December that it would transfer two Guantanamo prisoners to Algeria.

160 detainees remain at the Guantanamo Bay prison, according to the Defense Department.
