A spokesman for Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence said on Thursday that Pence “100 percent” supports House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) in his re-election to the speakership.

“Governor Pence 100 percent supports Paul Ryan to be reelected Speaker of the House,” a spokesman for Pence told Bloomberg reporter Kevin Cirilli.

Pence previously had refused three times to answer whether he believes Ryan should be re-elected, according to a report National Review correspondent Tim Alberta published earlier Thursday.
