A spokesman for Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence said on Thursday that Pence “100 percent” supports House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) in his re-election to the speakership.
“Governor Pence 100 percent supports Paul Ryan to be reelected Speaker of the House,” a spokesman for Pence told Bloomberg reporter Kevin Cirilli.
Gov. Mike Pence spokesman Marc Lotter tells me:

Pence previously had refused three times to answer whether he believes Ryan should be re-elected, according to a report National Review correspondent Tim Alberta published earlier Thursday.
Alberta pushed back on Lotter’s statement:
See, this is all Pence had to tell me. But he declined. Three times. https://t.co/PUEV0WsqiY
