Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and her female Democratic colleagues jeered at NBC News reporter Luke Russert’s question about the age of House Democratic leaders. Russert asked if Pelosi’s plans to stay on as House minority leader prevented younger Democrats from moving into leadership positions.
“Let’s, for a moment, honor it as a legitimate question, although it’s quite offensive, but you don’t realize that, I guess,” Pelosi said. She added that, throughout her time in congressional leadership, she has been focused on electing younger members to the House.
