Paul Ryan: Immigration Reform Could ‘Help Our Economy’

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), who has sounded a positive tone on immigration reform in recent months, offered an optimistic take on its economic benefits the same day that the Heritage Foundation claimed it would cost $6.3 trillion.

“The Congressional Budget Office has found that fixing our broken immigration system could help our economy grow,” Ryan told Roll Call in a statement. “A proper accounting of immigration reform should take into account these dynamic effects.”
