Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, R-Wis., talks to reporters following a closed-door caucus meeting at Republican National Committee headquarters on Capitol Hill in Washington, Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Tea party conservatives have blocked a budget plan backed by GOP leaders, a blow to Speaker Ryan and a reflection of the anti-Washington mood pushed by GOP front-runner Donald Trump. 1. Shut Down 2016 Rumors

All of 'em? Even the Roger Stone, Matt Drudge affair?

  2. Up to this point I’ve been assuming Ryan was “playing hard to get,” but would actually welcome the opportunity to be the anti-Trump party savior. But now I’m wondering if maybe he really would rather sit this one out than have to try to unify the warring idiots, extremists, and outright lunatics that make up the GOP base.

Don’t get me wrong, the guy obviously has Presidential ambitions. But his chances of actually winning the Presidency as the guy who was gifted the nomination by a deadlocked convention look pretty slim in light of the massive Trumper Tantrum we all expect if that were to happen.

He’s still fairly young, so he probably figures it’s better to let Trump or Cruz (or whoever the nominee is) fail, and then try again in 4 or 8 years.

  3. Did his tears turn to flawless diamonds as they ran down his face?
    He’s such a fucking phony.

and I just might barf (I know this is juvenile language, so please forgive me) Even MSNBC has brought in its 'heavy hitters" to cover this as if it were some kind of urgent international news. Give me a break!

  5. he could still be leaving door open to being drafted. We’ll see what he says.
