President Barack Obama will meet with Senate leaders on Tuesday to discuss talks with Iran about a potential agreement with the country to halt its nuclear weapons program.

Senators from the Banking, Foreign Relations, Armed Services and Intelligence committees will be in attendance, White House Spokesman Jay Carney told reporters in a press briefing.

The White House has received pushback from senators as it has considered easing sanctions on Iran in order to strike a deal.
