President Obama’s helicopter passed over the site of the West, Texas fertilizer plant explosions en route to the memorial service for the victims Thursday and circled a few times to view the damage from the explosions, according to a White House pool report.

President Obama left Dallas, Texas, where he participated in the dedication of former President George W. Bush’s presidential library, to Waco, Texas, where he will speak at the memorial services for those injured and the 14 victims killed by the explosions.
