President Barack Obama took a not-so-subtle dig at Politico during his year-end press conference on Friday.

After answering a question from Politico’s Carrie Budoff Brown, the President said he’d heard the reporter was moving to Europe. Brown replied that she would be relocating to Brussels, Belgium, which is the capital of the European Union, to help the publication expand into Europe.

“I think there’s no doubt that what Belgium needs is a version of Politico,” Obama said to hearty laughter from the reporters.

“The waffles are delicious there, by the way,” he added.
