The White House said on Tuesday that President Obama has “better things to do” than watch this week’s GOP presidential debate.

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest told reporters at a briefing that the President had no plans to watch Wednesday night’s debate, which is set to feature the top 11 Republican contenders and is being hosted by CNN at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California.

Asked why Obama wouldn’t be tuning in, Earnest shot back.

“I guess ’cause he feels like he’s got better things to do,” Earnest said. “With all due respect to CNN.”

  1. The president also has never been curious enough to join others in rubber necking at the scene of a multiple car crash apparently.

    Me too.

  3. Of course, he has better things to do.

A - he’s not running against any of these nutjobs (And they should thank their g-ds every day for that, because he would wipe the floor up with any of them).

B - he’s got a country to run, which is something none of these nutjobs will ever be responsible for, if I have anything to say about it.

Here’s where the Pres and I have something in common: we both have better things to do than to watch the debate. They don’t need any help from me in embarrassing themselves fully.

  4. Clip his toenails, review trade policies with Monaco, catch up on DVR’d episodes of last year’s WSOP. All kinds of stuff more important than that.
