President Barack Obama is scheduled to speak to the nation on Wednesday night at 9 p.m EST from the State Floor of the White House about the terrorist group ISIS (also called ISIL), which recently executed two American journalists they captured in Syria.

I suspect that Barack Obama is going to make a case that relies heavily on the details of the situation on the ground in eastern Syria and western Iraq, as opposed to his ideological stance on American military power in the abstract, thus infuriating both the right and far left.
