Billionaire Warren Buffett is offering one billion dollars to anyone who succeeds in accomplishing the unlikely task of filling out a perfect March Madness NCAA tournament bracket.
Asked on Wednesday what he would do with the hefty sum if he succeeds, President Barack Obama said he’d pay off some of the federal debt — as well as cracking a stereotypical joke about his spouse and shoes.
“I’m sure somebody would ask me to pay down more of the federal debt. Michelle might want a few shoes,” the basketball fan-in-chief told to ESPN’s Andy Katz.
Obama partook in the annual ritual, dubbed “Barack-etology“, by picking Michigan State, a No. 4 seed, to defeat defending tournament champion Louisville in the championship game.
