Obama: “I Like A Good Party”

Asked to respond to a criticism that he remained too hesitant to engage socially in Washington at a White House press conference on Monday, President Obama said that mingling has not necessarily dissuaded his opponents from attacking him politically.

“I’m a friendly guy and I like a good party,” Obama said, but added that engaging with Republicans in Congress at various social functions, for example, doesn’t stop them from calling him a “big-spending Socialist.”
