Speaking Wednesday at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, President Barack Obama applauded Germany and Europe for being global leaders in the effort to combat climate change.
“The effort to slow climate change requires bold action, and on this Germany and Europe have led,” Obama said.
The President touted successful efforts in the U.S. to double renewable energy and fuel efficiency, as well an overall reduction in American carbon emissions.
“But we know we have to do more, and we will do more,” Obama pledged.
