Obama: Don’t Believe Romney’s ‘Two Step’ On Taxes

For the second time on Thursday, President Obama pushed Mitt Romney over his debate claims that his tax plan would be both fully paid for without requiring any tax increases on the middle class, a notion contradicted by independent studies. 

“Governor Romney may dance around his positions,” Obama said at a rally in Madison, Wisconsin. “He may do a tap dance and a two-step, but if you want to be president, then you owe the American people the truth. So here’s the truth: Governor Romney cannot pay for his $5 trillion tax plan without blowing up the deficit or sticking it to the middle class.”
