President Barack Obama on Tuesday night phoned Virginia Gov.-elect Terry McAuliffe (D), New York City Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio (D) and Boston Mayor-elect Martin Walsh (D) to congratulate them on their victories, the White House said.
The President vowed to work with the newly minted governor and mayors “to expand economic opportunity for middle class families in their communities,” according to the White House.
