President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta attended a solemn transfer of remains ceremony at Andrews Air Force Base on Friday, where the remains of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other U.S. diplomats were flown back to the U.S from Libya.

“I was honored to know Chris Stevens,” a visibly shaken Clinton said. “I want to thank his parents for sharing Chris with his country. What a wonderful gift you gave us.”

“We’ve seen rage and violence over an awful Internet video we had nothing to do with,” added Clinton. “It is hard for the American people to make sense of that because it is senseless. And it is totally unacceptable. The people of Egypt, Libya, Yemen, and Tunisia did not trade the tyranny of a dictator for the tyranny of a mob. Reasonable people and responsible leaders in these countries need to do everything they can to restore security and hold accountable those behind these violent acts.”
