President Barack Obama took questions from only women reporters at his year-end press conference on Friday — eight of them.

The first question went to Carrie Budoff Brown of Politico. The next seven went to female reporters from Bloomberg BNA, The Associated Press, McClatchy, Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post and American Urban Radio Networks.

The news conference lasted for about an hour.
