Almost every living President, from Barack Obama to George W. Bush, echoed the words of the late Gerald Ford in marking the final episode of David Letterman’s 33-year reign at “The Late Show” on CBS.

“Our long national nightmare is over,” they each said on Wednesday night.

(President Jimmy Carter was the only one missing.)
