President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday will meet with House Republican leadership, the White House said. The meeting is scheduled to be held at 4:35 p.m. ET in the Roosevelt Room.

Obama had originally invited all 232 Republicans in the lower chamber, but House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) opted instead to send a smaller group. The White House expressed disappointment in Boehner’s decision, saying that the speaker is “preventing his members” from meeting with Obama.
