The National Rifle Association attacks Democratic nominee Tom Barrett in a new TV ad in the Wisconsin recall. The spot is a take on the “This is your brain on drugs” public service announcements, showing a hunter whose rifle disappears from his arms.
“This is your freedom,” the announcer says, followed by the gun’s disappearance. “This is your freedom if Tom Barrett gets the chance to recall your gun rights. Any questions?
“Tom Barrett has a rating of ‘F’ from the NRA. Don’t let Tom Barrett recall your gun rights.”
As WisPolitics reports, an NRA spokesman says the ad is running statewide on cable, up through June 4 — the day before the recall itself on June 5.
