Grover Norquist said Monday that even though top congressional Republicans have flirted with the idea of breaking their anti-tax pledge, no one who has signed the pledge has voted for a tax increase.
“You’ve had some people discussing impure thoughts on national television,” Norquist said on CNN. “However, even Lindsey Graham, if you listen to him, he would support higher taxes if it was used to pay down the debt. Of course, it won’t be. It would be spent.”
