Some Democrats believe that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) struck a deal with House Republicans Friday night to pass a bill to fund the Department of Homeland Security this week, but House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) says no such deal exists.

“There is no such deal and there’s no such bill,” Scalise told “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace. “On Friday, there was a bill on the House floor to pass a clean funding bill. And we rejected that because we said we’re fighting the president on what he’s doing illegally on immigration.”

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) also addressed reports of a deal during his appearance on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”

“The promise I made to Ms. Pelosi is the same promise I made to Republicans: that we would follow regular order,” he said.
