The New Jersey Democratic State Committee released a web video Wednesday accusing Republican U.S. Senate candidate Steve Lonegan of being “obsessed” with his Democratic rival, Cory Booker. The video, which is entitled “Lonegan’s Obsession: Cory Booker,” features footage of Lonegan saying Booker’s name in various speeches as text on the screen argues he’s focused on Booker rather than his own “positions.”

“It would be an understatement to say that Steve Lonegan and his campaign are obsessed with Mayor Booker,” New Jersey Democratic State Committee communications director, Matt Farrauto said in a statement about the release of the video. “New Jersey’s families deserve to know where Steve Lonegan stands on the issues and a real debate about the serious problems that confront the state and the country. Unfortunately, they’re being subjected to the near-daily rants of an extreme candidate, who’s obsessed with tearing down his opponent instead of explaining how he would help build up New Jersey families.”
