Newt Gingrich derailed the early months of this presidential campaign by attacking Rep. Paul Ryan’s (R-WI) House budget as “right-wing social engineering’ — a line he later apologized for on multiple occasions. Now with Ryan ascending to the VP slot, Gingrich couldn’t be happier. His statement sent to reporters Saturday:
“Mitt Romney made a courageous choice for a BIG solutions election. Paul Ryan is the largest step the GOP has taken towards solving the country’s problems since Reagan and Kemp.”
