Newsweek now plans to bring back its weekly print magazine after it switched to an all-digital operation last year, the New York Times reported Tuesday.
Editor-in-Chief Jim Impoco told the Times that Newsweek expects to roll out a 64-page weekly edition in January or February.
But readers will be charged more than in the past for Newsweek content, he said.
“It’s going to be a more subscription-based model, closer to what The Economist is compared to what Time magazine is,” Impoco told the Times. “We see it as a premium product, a boutique product.”
