The New Yorker edited Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump’s defensive statement rebuking Pope Francis’ comments that his border wall was “not Christian” on Thursday.

Trump, who is not one to take even the smallest of insults lying down, immediately called the pontiff’s comments “disgraceful.”

Here’s the edit, via New Yorker managing editor Silvia Killingsworth:

  1. How can Drumpf be expected to correct his statement? Those short fingers make using a keyboard difficult.

  2. Trump isn’t sure he ever called the Pope disgraceful. He’d have to look at the documents. Hey, he’s just a businessman. What does he know about Popes? He builds things. There’s video of it? Hey, how about those Knicks?!

  3. Cute that they edit on paper.

  4. Can you imagine what the edit on one of Wasilla Kardashian’s statements would look like? The editor would have to have 3 inch borders and extra blank paper.

  5. Finally! A MSM outlet that is willing to stand up to Trump´s grammar!

    Brilliant!
