New York City could potentially resume subway service as soon as Thursday on a few of the key lines that connect Manhattan and Brooklyn, after the system was shut down as a result of heavy flooding from Superstorm Sandy.
Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz announced Wednesday afternoon on Twitter:
MTA to test B, D, N, Q and R trains over the Manhattan bridge tonight. If satisfied with results, they will have limited service tomorrow.
