The New York Post called the killings of five police officers at a Thursday night protest in Dallas a “CIVIL WAR.”

The infamous tabloid, known for its inflammatory headlines, framed its cover around the killing of the law enforcement officers at an “anti-police protest.”

Anti-police-brutality protests took place Thursday in cities across the nation after the high-profile police shooting deaths of two black men, Alton Sterling in Louisiana and Philando Castile in Minnesota, in two days.

Graphic video of Sterling’s close-range shooting by police was posted online. After Castile was shot by police during a traffic stop, his girlfriend documented his final moments on Facebook Live.
