Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA) is out with a new, positive spot Tuesday highlighting his independence as a Senator and hinting that he deserves to serve out a full term after winning a special election two years ago. “The problem with Washington is that people down there are always battling,” Brown says as he enters a diner. “That’s not how I operate.”

Brown touts his willingness to reach across the aisle and put partisan politics aside. “We’re Americans first, and I’ll work with anyone to get things done,” he says. The ad touts brown as the “tie-breaking vote” on Wall Street reform and being called “one of the most bipartisan senators in the country”  by the Boston Globe. “You deserve another cup,” says a waitress at the diner at the end of the ad, refilling his coffee mug.

The ad begins airing Tuesday in the Boston, Springfield, Providence and Albany markets, as well as on statewide cable.
