The Romney campaign is out with a new TV ad today, featuring former President Bill Clinton. The former president, who delivered a barn-burning speech in defense of President Obama at the Democratic Convention Wednesday, is a “good soldier, helping his party’s president,” the ad says. But the ad then highlights what Clinton said of Obama in 2008: “GIve me a break. This whole thing is the biggest fairy tale I’ve ever seen.”
Republicans are seeking to separate Clinton and Obama in voters’ minds, using the former president to attack the current one.
