Democratic challenger Tony Evers has inched ahead of Gov. Scott Walker (R), leading 46 percent to 44 percent, according to a poll conducted by Suffolk University for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

With the caveat that that difference is still within the margin of error, the new poll shows a slightly more rosy prediction for Evers that last week’s Marquette poll which had the competitors in a dead heat.
