New Jersey’s Delegates Put Mitt Romney Over The Top

TAMPA, Fla. — Mitt Romney officially secured the Republican nomination for president when New Jersey delegation cast 50 votes for him at the GOP convention here. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) will be giving the convention’s keynote address Tuesday night. 

The New Jersey vote was greeted with an NBA halftime-style light show and sustained cheers from the crowd here.
