New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was taken into police custody Wednesday as an ongoing homicide investigation took another turn, according to multiple media reports.
Hernenadez was led from his North Attleboro, Mass. home, where seven Massachusetts State Police officers were present, according to USA Today.
The 23-year-old Hernandez has been the subject of an investigation into the death of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd. Lloyd, reportedly a friend of the budding NFL star, was found dead in an industrial park located a half-mile away from Hernandez’s home on June 17.
