A new poll of Nevada from SurveyUSA commissioned by the Las Vegas Review-Journal doesn’t have much good news for either campaign: President Obama leads with 47 percent of the vote, compared with 45 percent for Mitt Romney. But neither candidate is seen favorably by the electorate.

The poll of 869 likely voters shows 41 percent have an favorable view of Obama versus 46 percent who have an unfavorable view, while Romney sees a 39 percent favorable/46 percent unfavorable split. Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) sees an even divide — 35 percent see him favorably and the same amount see him unfavorably.

“Ryan attracts to the Romney ticket as many voters as he repels,” pollster Jay H. Leve of SurveyUSA told the paper. “I consider him a net wash. You can’t really point to anything in the poll that shows he’s helping Romney, and you can’t really point to anything that shows he’s hurting Romney.”

The PollTracker Average of Nevada shows Obama with an overall lead of 3 points.
