Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval will speak at the Republican National Convention, The Hill reported Tuesday. Sandoval is one of a list of Hispanic candidates that speak in Tampa, including New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Texas Senate candidate Ted Cruz.
“I don’t think you’ve ever in the past seen a Republican convention where so many prime-time speakers are Hispanics and Hispanics playing important roles,” said Jose Fuentes, a co-chairman of the Romney Hispanic Steering Committeeand former attorney general of Puerto Rico, according to The Hill.
The Romney campaign is aiming to get 38 percent of the Latino vote in November.
