Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday said that Hamas is violating the cease-fire it called for on Sunday morning.

“Hamas doesn’t even accept it’s own cease-fire. It’s continuing to fire at us as we speak,” he said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “Hamas is simply continuing all its operations, and Israel will not let this terror operation decide when it’s convenient for them and not convenient for them to attack our people.”

Hamas agreed to a truce Sunday morning soon after it rejected a similar agreement.

An aide to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said on CNN that Abbas is going to send a delegation to Cairo, Egypt to work on a longer-term deal.

Netanyahu told CNN that working through Egypt would be the only way the two sides could work out an agreement.
