A protestor's sign is seen in front of the Supreme Court in Washington, Tuesday, April 28, 2015. The Supreme Court is set to hear historic arguments in cases that could make same-sex marriage the law of the land. The justices are meeting Tuesday to offer the first public indication of where they stand in the dispute over whether states can continue defining marriage as the union of a man and a woman, or whether the Constitution gives gay and lesbian couples the right to marry. A Nebraska woman on Tuesday filed a lawsuit against “Homosexuals,” asking a judge to decide whether “homosexuality is a sin”

Sylvia Ann Driskell claimed she is the “ambassador for plaintiffs God, and his son, Jesus Christ” and declared that “homosexuality is a sin” and that gay people violate “religious and moral law.”

Driskell hand-wrote a seven-page petition referencing the dictionary and the Bible.

“That homosexuality is a sin and that they the homosexuals know it is a sin to live a life of homosexuality. Why else would they have been hiding in the closet,” she wrote.

Honestly, the only feeling I have for this woman is pity. This suit sounds like a cry for help from someone who desperately needs it.

  2. And what does she think that a judge is going to do? Judges have no authority over the Bible.

  3. I look forward to reading the magistrate judge’s order dismissing this lawsuit.

Crazy lawsuits like this get filed in federal courts more often than most people realize. I’m sure there is a routine procedure for dealing with them.

I’m guessing in this case lack of federal jurisdiction?

  4. So if I’m gay and this Republican wins, I owe her money? Cause face it, the homos stick together.
