Navy officials are investigating a sailor who allegedly filmed female officers while they showered aboard a submarine, the Navy Times reported Wednesday.

The women were recorded aboard the Wyoming, a ballistic missile submarine based in Kings Bay, Ga. that was one of the first to take on female officers in 2011, according to the report.

An anonymous source who spoke with an alleged victim told the Navy Times that the videos are believed to show at least three female offers while they showered or undressed. The videos were recorded over the course of more than a year, the source said.

An incident report dated Nov. 14 and obtained by the Navy Times identified the sailor accused of making and distributing the videos only as a 24-year-old male second class petty officer.

Navy spokeswoman Lt. Leslie Hubbell told the newspaper that the service would hold individuals involved accountable if the allegations, which she described as “criminal activity,” prove true.
