Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is feeling good about immigration reform’s chances in the House.
“The good news is that we really do think that … on the immigration issue, that we will, before summer, have comprehensive immigration reform,” Pelosi said at an event at the US HIspanic Chamber of Commerce, according to The Hill.
Party leaders on both sides of the aisle have said bipartisan negotiations in the House are close to producing an agreement. A bipartisan Senate group released a framework for their own reform plan earlier this year, but is still negotiating a final draft of legislation.
