MSNBC on Friday apologized for airing a photo of the wrong Rep. Foley, following the death of former Speaker Tom Foley.

The network showed a picture of former Rep. Mark Foley (R-FL), who is still living, instead of a photo of the Washington state Democrat who controlled the Speaker’s gavel in the 1990s.

‘The Cycle’ Host Touré issued an apology statement on MSNBC Friday.

“We want to correct a mistake made on msnbc last how. We showed the wrong picture involving the death of Tom Foley. MSNBC regrets the error,” he said.

Watch:

Fox News made a mistake regarding another Congressman on Thursday. Fox’s Gretchen Carlson mistakenly reported that Rep. Bill Young (R-FL) had passed away. Rep. Young is alive, though he is “gravely ill.”
