The Montana Democratic Party has a new $400,000 ad buy in their state’s Senate race, targeting Republican Rep. Denny Rehberg in his bid to unseat Democratic Sen. Jon Tester.
The ad was funded by money directed to the state party by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, the committee tasked with holding the Senate.
“After 12 years in Washington, D.C., Dennis Rehberg’s forgotten where he comes from — because Rehberg voted for billions in tax breaks to big bankers on Wall Street,” the announcer in the ad says. “Rehberg even voted to let Wall Street CEO’s get millions in bonuses, funded by taxpayer bailouts.”
The announcer urges viewers to call Rehberg and “remind him he’s Montana’s congressman, not Washington’s or Wall Street’s.”
