Mitt Romney dropped a few hints about his potential 2016 presidential platform, should he choose to embark on a third run for the White House.

Speaking Friday at a Republican National Committee meeting in San Diego, the 2012 nominee spoke of “three principles” for Republicans in the post-Obama era, which he said the next presidential election would be about, according to CBS News.

“First we have to make the world safer. Second, we have to make sure and
provide opportunity for all Americans regardless of the neighborhood
they live in. And finally, we have to lift people out of poverty,” he said, adding that if a GOP candidate stands by those principles, “Americans will be with us.”

Romney also joked about “speculation” regarding his potential campaign, which he has stoked recently by telling donors that he’s seriously considering a 2016 run. “Let me state unequivocally that I have no intention of running for U.S. senator of Massachusetts,” he quipped, per CBS.
