The Massachusetts Institute of Technology told students Sunday afternoon to stay clear from an area near campus after a gunshot victim was reported and the suspect remained at large.
The suspect was not believed to be on campus and the university told students to stay clear of the area between Main St. and Portland St., according to an update on its website timestamped 4:59 p.m. on Sunday.
“MIT Police continue to monitor the situation,” according to the university’s website in an update timestamped 5:26 p.m. on Sunday.
