Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), who had endorsed Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) presidential bid, on Wednesday said that he could not support Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton in the presidential race.

“I have not supported Donald Trump up to this point, I have not endorsed him,” Lee said in a telephone town hall with constituents, according to the Washington Examiner. “I have some concerns with him. He scares me to death; so does Hillary Clinton. There is no easy choice right now.”

“I’m going to continue to watch this,” Lee continued, according to the Examiner. “I’ll make the decision as best I can, but I’m not there yet.”

While many Republican lawmakers have said they will support Trump as the Republican presidential nominee (often with hesitance), Lee took a similar approach to House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI), who has said he’s not yet ready to back Trump.
